MTV TO AIR LIVE EPISODE OF SERIES "ENGAGED & UNDERAGE"

Following Four-Episode Marathon One-Hour Wedding Special Airs LIVE

Putting the M in Matrimony, MTV will air a LIVE one-hour episode of the series "Engaged & Underage," Saturday, August 2nd at 5pm ET/PT! Leading up to "Engaged & Underage: Live!" the network will marathon four classic episodes of the series featuring new updates on how the couples have fared since their nuptials. Then at 5pm in Time Square, NYC, one incredible young couple will have their dream wedding in front of a national audience complete with some of the series' fan favorite couples on-hand as guests including Jewel & Cory, a special musical performance by Josh Stewart of popular "Engaged & Underage" couple Bre & Josh and a few more surprises that only live television can bring.
Leading up to the August 2nd event, viewers will be able to log onto engaged.MTV.com to read blog updates from some of their favorite series couples and following the live wedding, fans can stream the four repackaged marathon episodes, view wedding photos and watch interviews with the happy couple and their family and guests.
Featured in "Engaged & Underage: Live!" are Nikki & Josh. Nikki Bryant, 18, and Josh Turner, 19, of Douglasville, Georgia met one another at their Baptist church when they were 14-years-old. Inseparable since, the couple always knew from the very beginning that they wanted to spend their lives together. Following high school, Josh joined the Army National Guard while Nikki finished her senior year but days after Nikki's graduation, the couple learned Josh will be deployed to Afghanistan in 2009. Determined to spend one full year in marital bliss before Josh ships out, together they decided that there is no time like the present to become man and wife. However, their path down the aisle won't be without its share of roadblocks including Nikki's father's concerns about their age, finding a place to live, financial worries and Josh's eventual deployment. The only thing they do know is that they will have their one perfect day before facing a lifetime of uncertainties together.
