Sci Fi to Run 'Atlantis' Through Fall

LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- Sci Fi is set to run "Stargate Atlantis" through the fall, network sources confirmed to the site this afternoon.

The series will serve as a lead-in to newcomer "Sanctuary," which stars "Atlantis" alum Amanda Tapping.

As previously announced (read the story), "Sanctuary" will launch on Friday, October 3 at 9:00/8:00c with a two-hour premiere.

"Atlantis" then will slide to the 9:00/8:00c hour on October 10 followed by "Sanctuary" at 10:00/9:00c.

Fridays (August 15-September 26)*
9:00/8:00c - "Stargate Atlantis" (Repeats)
10:00/9:00c - "Stargate Atlantis"

Friday, October 3
9:00/8:00c - "Sanctuary" (Two-Hour Series Premiere)

In addition, Sci Fi confirmed its annual six-hour "Ghost Hunters Live" event will air on Friday, October 31 starting at 7:00/6:00c (pre-empting the aforementioned series).

Also of note in October: "Destination Truth" will wrap the back half of its second season on Wednesday, October 15 at 10:00/9:00c; and the previously delayed original movie "NYC: Tornado Terror" will roll out on Saturday, October 4 at 9:00/8:00c.

* pre-empted on August 29 for a "Star Trek: Enterprise" marathon (due to Labor Day)

** pre-empted on October 31 for the "Ghost Hunters Live" event
