GARY UNMARRIED (CBS) - Kathryn Newton has joined the cast of the freshman comedy. She'll play Louise, the daughter of Jay Mohr's character. Producers had been looking to recast the role, which was originally played by Laura Marano. Original cast member Larry Miller was also recast in favor of Ed Begley Jr. earlier this month. In addition, Al Madrigal has been upped to series regular on the half-hour, which premieres Wednesday, September 24 at 8:30/7:30c. He'll continue on as Dennis Lopez, the best friend and co-worker of Mohr's Gary.
MYNETWORKTV ORIGINAL SERIES - The fledgling netlet has opted to retitle its newcomers "Funniest Moments" and "Magic's Biggest Secrets Revealed." The latter, now dubbed "Magic's Biggest Secrets Finally Revealed," premieres Monday, October 6 at 9:00/8:00c while the former, now monikered "World's Funniest Moments," is due on Wednesday, October 8 at 8:00/7:00c. Here's the official description for each. "Magic's Biggest Secrets Finally Revealed: The magician's sacred code of silence is broken forever in these ALL-NEW hour-long episodes. Nowhere else has a magician dared to expose the secrets behind the world's most mystifying illusions. The Masked Magician returns to television to defy his fellow conjurers and disclose the tricks that have captivated audiences for centuries. Over 120 of magic's most memorable illusions will be unveiled including the "Milk Can Escape," "Flying," "Train Levitation," "Water Escape," "Crushed by a Steamroller," "Walking Through a Wall," "Escaping Death by Wood Chipper," "Walking on Water" and many more!
