A&E NETWORK PRESENTS INTERVENTION: AFTER TREATMENT PREMIERING MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 8 AT 9PM ET/PT
NEW YORK, NY AUGUST 25, 2008 In INTERVENTION: AFTER TREATMENT premiering Monday, September 8 at 9:00pm ET/PT on A&E, former addicts from the past four seasons of the 2008 Emmy-nominee for outstanding reality series, come together in an intimate Los Angeles studio for a candid discussion. How did the intervention change their lives? What are the relationships with their families like now? And how are they doing since the intervention, are among the questions they address. The addicts, most of whom are now in recovery, will come face-to-face with their interventionists, Jeff Van Vonderen, Candy Finnigan and Ken Seeley, and their families, some for the first time since going to treatment.
Among the people we'll hear from in the one-hour special hosted by actor and activist Christopher Lawford are: Sylvia; whose addiction to alcohol cost her custody of her children; Michelle; a once bright student who turned to drugs after childhood trauma; Hubert; whose addiction to alcohol left him homeless and on the streets of Los Angeles; Coley and his wife Francine. Coley's addiction to crystal meth almost cost him his family. Also appearing will be Dillon and his mom Tammy. Dillon's addiction to methamphetamines prompted his mom Tammy to reach out to the show for help and led to one of the series' most compelling interventions to date.
INTERVENTION, currently in its fifth season on A&E, is a powerful and gripping series in which people confront their darkest demons and seek a route to redemption. The three-time Prism Award-winning series profiles people whose dependence on drugs and alcohol or other compulsive behavior has brought them to a point of personal crisis and estranged them from their friends and loved ones. Each episode ends with a surprise intervention that is staged by the family and friends of the addict, and which is conducted by one of three specialists.
Robert Sharenow and Colleen Conway are the executive producers for A&E Network. INTERVENTION: AFTER TREATMENT is produced for A&E Network by GRB. Dan Partland and Sam Mettler are executive producers. The series INTERVENTION was created by Sam Mettler.
