TALKING ANIMALS, ADVENTURE AND HIJINKS, OH MY!

ABC FAMILY PRESENTS A DR. DOLITTLE MARATHON LEADING UP TO THE TELEVISION PREMIERE OF "DR. DOLITTLE: TAIL TO THE CHIEF," ON NOVEMBER 9TH

Peter Coyote ("President Sterling") and Niall Matter ("Cole") join Jennifer Coolidge as the voice of "Daisy" and Kyla Pratt reprises her role as "Maya Dolittle"

Burbank, CA (October 20, 2008) In the fourth film of the "Dr. Dolittle" series, Maya Dolittle, daughter of the famed Dr. Dolittle is put to the ultimate test when she has to learn how to channel her father's gift of communicating with animals. "Dr. Dolittle: Tail to the Chief" makes its television premiere on ABC Family on Sunday, November 9th from 8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT), part of an all-day "Dr. Dolittle" marathon that begins with "Dr. Dolittle" at 2:00 PM ET/PT; "Dr. Dolittle 2" at 4:00 PM ET/PT; and "Dr. Dolittle 3" at 6:00 PM ET/PT.

All Maya Dolittle (Kyla Pratt) wants is to be accepted into the prestigious veterinarian program at San Francisco University. Like her father, the notorious Dr. Dolittle, Maya has the unique ability to talk to animals. Unlike her father, however, she has yet to fine tune her talents. After her disastrous interview with the admission offices, her dreams of making a difference as a veterinarian are crushed. This all changes when the President of the United States of America (Peter Coyote,) calls upon the animal prodigy to figure out why the first pet, the mischievous Daisy (Jennifer Coolidge,) is acting up. Her task, though seemingly small, is part of a larger effort to save a rainforest from being demolished. With so much at stake, Maya has only a week to tap into her keen talents to get through to Daisy all while trying to maintain the prestige of the Dolittle name. With the help of Cole, the cute college intern, and Courtney, the first daughter, Maya is ready to gather all of her courage and step out of her father's shadow. With a supporting cast of kooky animals and even kookier characters, "Dr. Dolittle: Tail to the Chief" promises laughs, excitement and adventure in this hilarious family comedy.

"Dr. Dolittle: Tail to the Chief" was produced by Brian Manis ("Dr. Dolittle 3", "Garfield") and John Davis ("Dr. Dolittle," "Daddy Day Care,") and directed by Craig Shapiro ("Our Lips are Sealed"). Produced by DD4C Productions/Davis Entertainment and distributed by Twentieth Century-Fox Film Corporation. Writing credits are given to Matt Lieberman and Kathleen Laccinole.
