Los Angeles, CA October 24, 2008 � Viewers will be at the edge of their seats for the finale episode of "The Real World / Road Rules Challenge" on October 29th at 10:00pm ET/PT, when the remaining challengers compete to rule "The Island" and uncover the $300,000 prize. In the sixteenth installment of the series, "The Island" has put the cast under extremely tough living conditions on the remote beach located on Bocas Del Toro, Panama.

The returning host, pro BMX dirt jumper TJ Lavin, was really put to the task of keeping this unruly cast focused on the final prize. Over the past eight weeks, the twenty challengers comprised of past "Real World" and "Road Rules" cast members were put to the test both emotionally and physically. Full of backstabbing, alliances, romance and injuries, this season forced the cast to rely more on their individual strength, as the team factor has been totally eliminated. The tense climate of the every man for themselves was destroyed when what was thought to be an iron clad alliance fell victim to the twist of the century.

The current season of "Real World /Road Rules Challenge: The Island" ranked #1 in during the Wednesday, 10:00-11:00pm time period among W12-34 versus cable competition. The series has reached over 50.1 million total viewers (P2+) on MTV, with over 24.5 million from our P12-34 core.

On November 5th the cast will come together for an explosion of emotions on the "Real World / Road Rules Challenge" Reunion. The one-hour special will feature "The Island" cast members: Derrick, Ev, Johanna, Johnny, Jenn, KellyAnne, Kenny, Ryan, Paula and Robin. The cast will sit down to discuss everything that went on throughout the taping of "The Island." In an open fourm, host Carlos Santos MTV Tr3s VJ, will get to the bottom of the constant bickering between Johnny and Ev, the last minute power play, and all of the hook-ups and fights.
