New York, NY - December 18, 2008 - Oxygen's highly rated series, "Snapped" returns for its deadly run in primetime on its new night-Thursday, January 8 at 10PM ET/PT with bigger and better expanded hour-long episodes.

On the heels of the "Seventh Deadliest Season" of "Snapped," Oxygen released its first DVD, "Snapped: Most Notorious" on December 16. The DVD is a compilation of some of the most sensational episodes of the series and is on sale at shop.oxygen.com, amazon.com and createspace.com. Also on oxygen.com, fans of the series can get bonus photos and details, offering a richer and deeper experience.

One of Oxygen's most popular series, "Snapped" had its most killer season ever last year. Season six delivered record viewership among key demos including P18-49 (averaging 404,000) W18-49 (289,000) and total viewers (700,000), based on Nielsen Media Research data.

"Snapped" is produced in conjunction with Jupiter Entertainment, the creators of "City Confidential" and Dominick Dunne's "Power, Privilege & Justice." "Snapped" is narrated by veteran news reporter Sharon Martin.
