SPECIAL TO AIR SUNDAY, APRIL 26th AT 9 p.m. ET/PT IN TV LAND PRIME

Gibson Amphitheatre to Serve as New Venue for Award Show

NEW YORK, Feb. 18 -- TV Land announced today that the seventh annual "TV Land Awards" will be taped at a new venue, The Gibson Amphitheatre at Universal Studios on Sunday, April 19th. Last year's TV Land Awards was taped at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, CA. The telecast premieres in TV Land PRIME on Sunday, April 26th at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

"The TV Land Award Show has become one of the must-see shows in Hollywood so we decided to supersize the venue to accommodate the growing demand for tickets," stated Sal Maniaci, Senior Vice President, Development and Original Programming, TV Land. "We are thrilled that the Gibson Amphitheatre will serve as the home of this year's show because the Universal Studio lot is the backdrop for so many iconic television shows and movies from the past and present -- precisely the type of rich entertainment we honor each year."

Throughout the ninety minute telecast, TV Land will honor legendary artists from both television and movies, feature exhilarating music as well as never-before-seen reunions of some of the most iconic celebrity casts from TV and movies, and of course, the fan favorite -- the perennial TV Land Awards parody that always highlights the year's pop culture moments .

Michael Levitt ("Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D List", "Billboard Music Awards", "Scream Awards") is executive producer, Emmy Award-winning Jeff Margolis is director ("Academy Awards," "American Music Awards," "Screen Actors Guild Awards"), Greg Sills serves as supervising producer ("VH1 Rock Honors," "The Teen Choice Awards," "Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards") and TV Land's Sal Maniaci and Larry W. Jones are executive producers.
