NEW YORK, April 20 -- One of VH1's most recognizable and beloved franchises, "VH1 Divas" returns after a four-year hiatus with what promises to be a star-studded show. VH1 will air "VH1 Divas" LIVE from the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM) Howard Gilman Opera House in Brooklyn, New York, on Thursday, September 17. Continuing in the "Divas" tradition, VH1 will bring together some of the biggest names in music today for an exclusive, high-voltage night of unforgettable performances. Performers, presenters, and special guests will be announced as they are confirmed.

"Over the years, we've received constant calls and emails asking us to bring back our 'Divas' show. Premiering on VH1 in 1998, "VH1 Divas" became synonymous with some of the most memorable live female vocal performances in television history. Previous featured performers over the years included Diana Ross, Tina Turner, Cher, Mariah Carey, Celine Dion, Aretha Franklin, Mary J.
