USA NETWORK GREENLIGHTS "WHITE COLLAR"

Series will star Matthew Bomer, Tim DeKay and Tiffani Thiessen

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA April 23, 2009 USA Network announced today that it has picked up the original series WHITE COLLAR (working title), starring Matthew Bomer ("Chuck," "Tru Calling"), Tim DeDKay ("Tell Me You Love Me," "Carnivle"), Tiffani Thiessen ("What About Brian," "Fastlane") and Willie Garson ("Sex and the City," "John From Cincinnati"). WHITE COLLAR will premiere with a 90-minute episode followed by thirteen one-hour episodes. The series will be shot on location in New York. The announcement was made today by Jackie de Crinis, USA's executive vice president, original scripted programming.

"'White Collar' is the perfect complement in our hot summer line up of character-driven originals that continue to draw loyal audiences to USA Network," said de Crinis. "The strength of the show's lead characters, smart writing and crisp direction are key elements that we believe are the tentpoles of another compelling series."

WHITE COLLAR revolves around the unlikely partnership of a con artist and an FBI agent who have been playing cat and mouse for years. Neal Caffrey (Bomer), a charming criminal mastermind, is finally caught by his nemesis, G-Man extraordinaire Peter Burke (DeKay). When Neal escapes from a maximum-security prison to find his long-lost love, Peter nabs him once again. Rather than returning to jail for his daring getaway, Neal suggests an alternate plan: he'll provide his expertise to assist the Feds in catching other notorious and elusive criminals. Initially wary, Peter quickly finds that Neal provides insight and intuition that cannot be found on the right side of the law.

WHITE COLLAR was created and is executive produced by Jeff Eastin ("Hawaii," "Meet the Marks") and comes from Fox Television Studios. Bronwen Hughes (USA's BURN NOTICE, "Breaking Bad," "Forces of Nature") directed the pilot.

WHITE COLLAR is the second pilot pick-up for USA Network thus far this year; ROYAL PAINS, starring Mark Feuerstein, was picked up in January.
