7TH AND FINAL SEASON OF "GILMORE GIRLS" MAKES ITS CABLE PREMIERE ON ABC FAMILY STARTING JUNE 8

Seasons Four Through Seven Also to Air in HD for First Time on Network

Burbank, CA (May 12, 2009) "Gilmore Girls" fans can relive the final chapter of their favorite mother-daughter duo when the seventh and final season of the series premieres on ABC Family on Monday, June 8 (5:00 6:00 PM ET/PT). Now airing all seven seasons of the hit WB show, ABC Family will present Seasons Four through Seven of the series in HD for the first time on cable television.

In Season Seven, Lorelai (Lauren Graham) and Rory (Alexis Bledel) turn to each other to get through the complications in their respective romances. Lorelais relationship with Luke (Scott Patterson) may be beyond repair now that she has let Christopher (David Sutcliffe) come between them again. Even so, Lorelai and Luke still have to coexist in tiny, close-knit Stars Hollow with the towns watchful eyes on them and their charged history. Meanwhile, Rory will attempt to keep her long-distance romance with Logan (Matt Czuchry) alive, even though communication has never been their strong suit, and London is so far away.

"Gilmore Girls" is a humorous, heartfelt, multi-generational dramedy about friendship, family and the ties that bind. The seventh season of "Gilmore Girls" starred Lauren Graham, Alexis Bledel, Scott Patterson, Melissa McCarthy, Keiko Agena, Yanic Truesdale, Liza Weil, Sean Gunn, Matt Czuchry and Kelly Bishop, and featured special appearances by recurring guest stars Edward Herrmann and Liz Torres. David S. Rosenthal is the executive producer. "Gilmore Girls" was created by Amy Sherman-Palladino.

"Gilmore Girls" can be seen on ABC Family weekdays at 11:00 AM 12:00 NOON ET/PT and 5:00 6:00 PM ET/PT. (ABC Familys sister network, SOAPNet, which began airing the series starting with its first season this past April, airs on Saturdays from 9:00 11:00 PM ET/PT and Sundays from 6:00 8:00 PM ET/PT.)
