Ford Motor Company and ABC's "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" Are Searching for Community Heroes
The Heroes F-150 campaign is awarding an all new 2009 Ford F-150 and $250,000 to help build or rebuild a portion of a community.

Ford's Heroes F-150 Campaign Will Award One Deserving Hero $250,000 to Improve Their Community and a 2009 Ford F-150; Nominations Accepted Through May 31, 2009

Ford Motor Company and partner ABC's "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" are still eagerly searching for community Heroes looking to make a difference. The Heroes F-150 campaign is awarding an all new 2009 Ford F-150 and $250,000 to help build or rebuild a portion of a community. Entries are still being accepted at www.TheHeroesF150.com. Participants can nominate their Hero until May 31.

Students, parents, community members, school, military police and firefighting staff are encouraged to nominate their community Hero for the Heroes F-150 contest by entering at www.TheHeroesF150.com. Entrants are asked to write a short essay (250 words or less) as to why the nominated Hero fits the definition of being "an individual who is dependable, family and/or community oriented, with a strong work ethic and commitment to his/her family, and/or co-workers and/or community." The nomination should address nominated Hero would do with the $250,000 and a 2009 Ford F-150. The winner will be announced in June, the makeover completed later in the summer. In addition to the Heroes F-150 contest, entrants will also have the opportunity to enter to win an all new 2009 Ford F-150 in the Heroes F-150 sweepstakes.

"The Heroes F-150 program demonstrates Ford's continued commitment to building communities around the country through its partnership with �Extreme Makeover: Home Edition,'" said Eric Peterson, Ford Truck / SUV Communications Manager, Ford Motor Company. "Our Ford F-150 owners are Heroes in their own right. They are the go-to-guys that people can always rely on to make change happen, and we believe this program will not only help a community in need, but also inspire people to think about how they can lend a hand to their community during these difficult times."

The $250,000 will be contributed to, as recommended by the winning Hero, the construction of a new public or non-profit facility/building or the improvement or renovation of an existing public or non-profit building/facility to enhance the community and the quality of life of its residents.

"Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" -- The Emmy-winning ABC reality program, now in its sixth season, airs Sundays at 8:00 p.m., ET and is produced by Endemol USA, a division of Endemol Holding. Anthony Dominici is the executive producer and David Goldberg is Chairman, Endemol North America.
