TERRIERS (FX) - Feature helmer Craig Brewer ("Hustle & Flow") has signed on to direct the comedy pilot, according to executive producer Shawn Ryan's Twitter account. The Fox 21-based project, from creator Ted Griffin, revolves around a police detective who becomes a private investigator and takes on a hot-shot young partner. Filming begins in August, with Griffin and Ryan executive producing via his MiddKid Productions.
UGLY BETTY (ABC) - Daniel Eric Gold has been promoted to series regular, according to a report from Entertainment Weekly. He'll apparently continue on as Betty's ex-boyfriend/boss Matt.
