YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT MOVES IN
The U.S. premiere of season four on BBC AMERICA
You Are What You Eat just got bigger as Dr. Gillian McKeith is back with a brand new fourth season. The tough-love diet detective has traveled the UK holding open auditions to find more desperate cases, and now that she's found them, they've got a very big shock in store. They don't know it yet, but the McKeith treatment means living under HER roof, following HER house rules, with NO escape. If that weren't bad enough, Gillian even invites herself to stay at their homes if they've fallen off the wagon.
From a former beauty queen who's nearly double the woman she once was to a man who drinks 20 containers of milk a week and has a flatulence problem, Gillian's got an uphill battle with some of her toughest cases to date yet. You Are What You Eat premieres July 7, 8:00 p.m. ET/PT.
Gillian connects food to some of people's gravest problems by literally putting it all out on the table and forcing people to look at what they are putting into their bodies. A bad diet affects everything - appearance, mood, energy - even sex drive. You Are What You Eat gives practical advice on changing a lifetime of bad habits. This is more than a diet makeover - in eight weeks Gillian works from the inside out with a tongue inspection, a colonic and a new meal plan. Each show is crammed with as many nutritional tips as ever as Gillian pushes her skills to the limit with more shocking demonstrations of the dastardly effects of our dietary habits.

EPISODE SYNOPSES
EPISODE 1
This week's houseguests are 44-year-old Ian Miller and 36-year-old Sharon Prendagast. Businessman and farting fiend Ian weighs in at 280 lbs. He's a far cry from his slim figured self of eight years ago, and is now a staggering 130 lbs overweight.
Ian spends a lot of time on the road, but even more time eating especially chocolate and meat in the form of sausages, bacon and kebabs. All this munching leaves Ian with an insatiable thirst and there's only one thing that can quench it milk. Gallons of it: a heart stopping 20 containers of the white stuff a week. Ian's constant gorging has a very un-fragrant side effect - terrible flatulence, and his family and colleagues despair of him. Ian himself is tired of his tyres, and dreams of running a marathon or at least being around for a few years longer.
Mother of two, Sharon, spends most of her day preparing and eating food, so it's little wonder that she's more than 50 lbs overweight. Her widening waistline line is a result of her wandering hands - when she's around no-one's food is safe. With constant headaches, chaffing thighs and huge elasticized trousers, Sharon knows she needs help. So along with Ian, she's bunking down with Gillian. But how will they cope under her watchful gaze, with no escape from that beady eye?
Episode1 premieres July 7, 8:00 p.m. ET/PT.
EPISODE 2
This week, Gillian's houseguests are 41 year-old driving instructor Tracie Bebbington and 34 year-old, father of two, Nick Shaw.
210 lb Tracie used to be a size 10 but has ballooned to a 20. While her fireman partner eats and exercises his way to fitness, Tracie, whose son calls her Big Bum', slums it on the sofa. She hates cooking, so rather than eating a proper meal binges on snacks like chocolate on toast and bowl after bowl full of sugary cereal. Her diet isn't just taking its toll on Tracie's waistline, it's wrecking havoc with her digestion and leaving her caught short. She has to dash to the bathroom on average seven times a day, which given her job as a driving instructor, can often be problematic.
Car salesman Nick is 6' tall and weighs in at 273 lbs. That's an excess of 84 lbs, and seriously obese, putting him in danger of a heart attack. In a week, Nick will gobble as many as five packets of bacon piling up to eight pieces in a single sandwich. He loves cheese and meat, so much so that when he eats pizza which he does around five times a week - he piles on extra cheese, bacon and even sausage. Nick's wife, Sharon, has major concerns for her husband's health. He already has the fitness levels of someone twice his age, and is too unfit to play with his kids.
Episode 2 premieres July 14, 8:00 p.m. ET/PT.
EPISODE 3
This week's houseguests are 41-year-old Sonia Lancaster and 50-year-old former beauty queen Christine Newton.
Sonia is a petite 5' ' ft, but weighing almost 200 lbs is the token fat person in her family. She eats 4,600 calories a day - more than double the recommended amount and her weakness is all things doughy. Bagels for breakfast, a baguette or two, fried bread, toast with jam, she just can't get enough. Unlike Sonia, the rest of her brood are thin, and her two sons keep super fit at the karate club four times a weeks. But the closest Mom gets to the karate club is the pub next door a habit she's going to find hard to break.
Christine Newton was the envy of the county in the 70s but this beauty queen has since let her crown slip. Weighing 210 lbs, she is nearly double the woman she was and has traded her hourglass figure for the wine glass, and her passion for life for a passion for bread. Christine works as a sales rep driving thousands of miles a week but as her business grows so does her waistline. She grabs sandwiches on the road and in the evening drinks wine to relax. After trying various diets, Christine is desperate to turn back the clock and stun her husband with a glimpse of what she once was. Can Gillian uncover the beauty beneath?
Episode 3 premieres July 21, 8:00 p.m. ET/PT.
EPISODE 4
This week's houseguests are 27-year-old florist Gregor Cuthbertson and 36-year-old mom and beauty therapist, Helen Jane.

A chocolate guzzling giant and addict of sugary snacks he suffers from major mood swings. Gregor's family has a history of high blood pressure and he's increasing his risk with his sugar soaked diet. He's eating his way to an early grave, overloading his kidneys with bad fats.
Beauty therapist Helen feels her 224 lb frame is a poor advertisement for her beautifying services. Over excitable, overeater Helen has a lethal layer of lard around her love handles, caused largely by her constant cravings for cake preferably of the cream variety. To be healthy Helen needs to lose a huge 84 lbs in weight and to make matters worse, she has an extra hurdle Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome or PCOS, a condition aggravated by obesity. Can Gillian get this chocolate binger and chubby cake chomper back on the nutritional straight and narrow?

This week the houseguests are Lynsey Courtenay, a 30 year-old single mother with a seven year-old son who calls her fat and 54 year-old Stephen French, an out of shape rector with a penchant for pork pies.
308 lb Lynsey's family are so worried about her ballooning jelly-belly they've sent her to London to seek out the slender defender herself Ms McKeith to wean her off her four-times-a-week take out habit washed down with a bottle of her favorite wine. Lynsey worries her pride and joy, son Cameron, will be affected by the comments made about her weight when they pass her in the street. He already calls her fat and asks why his mummy's tummy is so big.
Stephen French has a serious nutrition condition and weighs in at a significant 280 lbs. He's a far cry from the marathon fit physique of his youth, devoting his time to the parish but ignoring his own health. His wife Gillian indulged him in his passion for food and wine, but since her own gastric bypass has seen the devil of their ways and can see he needs help. Clearly Stephen needs to heed some of the self-control he preaches to his parishioners and find a way to resist the tempting buffets.

Mandy and Lynne have a host of aliments between them and suffer from weak knees, having both injured their knees in unrelated accidents. EPISODE 7
This week Gillian has double the trouble on her hands as she targets heavy weight moms and their dumpy daughters. Her houseguests are 34-year-old Lisa Barker and her 15-year-old daughter Holly alongwith 51-year-old Marva and her 26-year-old daughter Simone. It's a case of like mother, like daughter, for these four, with both mothers' wicked ways leading their daughters astray.
As a busy mom of four children, Lisa finds it easier to shove a pre-prepared meal in the oven or drive to the local takeaway than to cook a fresh meal for her family. This is having a serious impact on her overweight frame and she's not the only one - her 15-year-old daughter Holly already weighs in at 154 lbs and Holly loves pizza so much that her nickname is Pizza Face'.
Marva Warmington lives just ten minutes away from her daughter Simone. Jamaican Marva is a fantastic cook and both mother and daughter overdose on her home-cooked rich Caribbean food. Marva's also addicted to condensed milk and adds it to everything, while also a sworn chocoholic. While the rest of the family is slim, Marva and Simone are piling on the pounds. Gillian knows these chubby mothers and daughters desperately need her help and her aim is to get Marva and Lisa not only fit and healthy for themselves but fit for their daughters too.
Episode 7 premieres August 18, 8:00 p.m. ET/PT.

Pam learnt to belly dance virtually before she could walk. Her dream is to teach belly dancing classes, but who'd want to learn from a wobbly 238 lb teacher? Pam's family live in the U.S. but they've never met her children because she's too ashamed to get on a plane as big as she is. Despite making healthy food for her family and ensuring her children get their daily fruit and vegetable requirement, Pam's usual daily diet includes a packet of cookies, bread, cheese and cakes.
Student, Charlotte, is almost 100 lbs overweight and just got a work placement on an animal reserve in Africa but she's in no state to cope with the physical demands and the heat. If she's going to look after wild animals she's got to first tame her own eating habits. Pam and Charlotte are both desperate to change but the one thing that mums with tums and stout students have in common is a lack of discipline. A brief stay chez McKeith should sort that out.
