LIE TO ME (FOX) - Mekhi Phifer has been upped to series regular on the drama, which returns for its second season this fall. Also tapped to return in a recurring role is Jennifer Beals. Phifer will continue on as Ben Reynolds, an FBI agent who was brought in to liaise between the Lightman Group and the FBI, while Beals is back as Zoe Landau, Cal Lightman's (Tim Roth) ex-wife and mother of their teenage daughter.
MODERN LOVE (WE tv, New!) - Simon Andreae's Incubator Television ("Most Popular") has booked a second series at the cable channel. The project, which is currently in production, "features couples who, for a prize, have to prove their love for each other." No other specifics about the series were given.
THE UNUSUALS (ABC) - Creator Noah Hawley has inked a blind script commitment with ABC Studios. The pact calls for the musician-turned-author-turned-screenwriter to pen a pair of unspecified projects for the studio.
