Pop icon Britney Spears joins this summer's choicest party when she receives the Ultimate Choice Award at TEEN CHOICE 2009 airing Monday, Aug. 10 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. Additionally, Sean Kingston will perform his hit single "Fire Burning" on the two-hour star-studded special.

Spears, who holds the record as the female artist with the most TEEN CHOICE Surfboard Awards, returns stateside from the European leg of her "The Circus Starring Britney Spears" tour to receive the coveted award in recognition of her extraordinary contributions to the entertainment industry.

Britney Spears is one of the top-selling artists of the last decade, and to date she has sold over 63 million albums worldwide. Her albums include "�Baby One More Time," "Oops!...I Did It Again," "Britney," "In The Zone" and "Blackout." Her current album, "Circus," which was released in December 2008, debuted at No. 1 in six countries and in the Top 10 in an additional seven. Currently touring Europe, Spears will bring her current tour back to North America beginning August 20 to perform in 20 cities across the country. "The Circus Starring Britney Spears" kicked off in March 2009 in New Orleans, and is the highest-grossing tour of 2009 in North America to date.

Additionally, Hugh Jackman, Corbin Bleu, Dane Cook, Miranda Cosgrove, Zach Gilford, Selena Gomez, George Lopez, Emily Osment, Jordin Sparks, Jerry Trainor, Marlon Wayans, Ed Westwick, Shailene Woodley, Abigail Breslin, Sofia Vassilieva will join previously announced participants including the casts of "Twilight" (Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner, Ashley Greene, Nikki Reed and Kellan Lutz) and FOX's new comedy series GLEE (Lea Michele, Cory Monteith, Jenna Ushkowitz, Chris Colfer, Amber Riley and Kevin McHale), as well as Zac Efron, Megan Fox, Cameron Diaz, Jennifer Morrison, Keke Palmer, Alexis Bledel, Chace Crawford, Leighton Meester, Ellen DeGeneres, Ashley Tisdale, Kristen Bell, Jordana Brewster, Vanessa Hudgens, Shawn Johnson, Daren Kagasoff, Kim Kardashian, Jennette McCurdy and Emma Roberts. In addition to Sean Kingston, the special will feature performances by Miley Cyrus, The Black Eyed Peas and the Jonas Brothers.

Hosted by the Jonas Brothers, TEEN CHOICE celebrates the hottest teen icons in film, television, music, sports and fashion. The coolest stars will receive coveted Teen Choice Surfboard awards in categories such as Choice Hotties, Choice Movie Liplock and Choice Twit.
