NEW MTV SERIES "HOUSE OF JAZMIN" CHRONICLES THE LIFE OF A YOUNG FASHION DESIGNER ON THE RISE

MTV's new fashion inspired series, "House of Jazmin," premieres Tuesday, August 18 at 10:30pm ET/PT, follows the life of Jazmin Whitley, a 20 year-old fashion designer who is trying to balance life as a young adult while juggling the duties of a growing fashion brand. From fun times frolicking in the sun with friends to the high pressure of presenting chic looks from her clothing line Li Cari, Jazmin's life is far from average.

Viewers will get an inside look at Jazmin's journey to make a mark on the fashion industry. From sketching and puling fabrics to selecting models that bring her designs to life on the catwalk, Jazmin has her hands full. Though Jazmin is the talented designer and master mind behind the Li Cari line, it is the support of her family and friends that propels the brand to new heights.

The "House of Jazmin" Cast Includes:

Susan is both mom and manager and in a word, she is tough! Often, Susan has a hard time separating the mom and manager role. She is very demanding of Jazmin's time and has very high expectations. She is, after all, the one who finances the clothing line, so she has quite a bit at stake and is not afraid to let Jazmin know it.

Joey is Jazmin's little brother, and at times he can get on her nerves. However it's clear to see that they really do love each other, and are as close as siblings can be. Joey is also a "pint size paparazzi" who takes all the photos for Jazmin's shows and other red carpet events.

Morgan is Jazmin's best friend and right hand at Li Cari. Morgan is helping her friend with her dream and will do whatever it takes to help Jazmin get to the top. Though she is known to be the center of attention and the life of the party, when she needs to be, she can also be the big sister that Jazmin never had.

Grandpa and Nona are known to always be around to pick up the pieces for Jazmin. When Jazmin is with her grandparents, she turns into a little girl, but they also serve as a voice of reason in her life. In great Sicilian fashion, she is always met with love and food when visiting them.
