EMMY AWARD-NOMINATED CHOREOGRAPHERS TABITHA AND NAPOLEON D'UMO ("SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE," "AMERICA'S BEST DANCE CREW") TO CHOREOGRAPH DANCE SEGMENT FOR THE "61ST PRIMETIME EMMY(R) AWARDS," SEPT. 20 ON CBS
LOS ANGELES, Sept. 16 - Emmy Award-nominated choreographers Tabitha and Napoleon D'umo ("So You Think You Can Dance," "America's Best Dance Crew") will choreograph a segment honoring dance in reality television on the 61ST PRIMETIME EMMY� AWARDS. Hosted by Neil Patrick Harris, the Emmys will be broadcast live from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, Sunday, Sept. 20 (8:00-11:00 PM, live ET/delayed PT) on the CBS Television Network.
It was previously announced that famed dance duo Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Karina Smirnoff ("Dancing with the Stars") will be among the performers in the segment.
Tabitha and Napoleon have worked as supervising choreographers for "America's Best Dance Crew" since its inception. Recently, the married couple was nominated for an Emmy for their choreography for the series "So You Think You Can Dance," on which they also serve as judges. In addition, they served as creative directors and choreographers for the spectacular Sean Kingston number on the Teen Choice Awards. Having worked together since 1996, Napoleon and Tabitha are best known for a particular style of dance called lyrical hip hop.
The 61ST PRIMETIME EMMY� AWARDS is being produced by Don Mischer Productions. Multiple Emmy Award winner Don Mischer recently produced and directed "We Are One: The Obama Inaugural Celebration at the Lincoln Memorial," and the Bruce Springsteen Super Bowl XLIII Halftime Show.
