WEEDS SCORES EMMY(R) FOR OUTSTANDING SOUND MIXING

SANTA MONICA, Calif. and VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Sept. 21 -- LIONSGATE'S(R) (NYSE: LGF) acclaimed AMC drama MAD MEN made Emmy(R) history again this year with its second consecutive wins for Outstanding Drama Series and Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series. Creator/Executive Producer Matthew Weiner, who earned four of the five drama series writing nominations, took home his second consecutive trophy in this category. With its win for Outstanding Hairstyling for a Single-Camera Series at last week's Creative Arts Awards, MAD MEN received a total of three Emmys(R) this year.

The Company's hit comedy WEEDS scored the Emmy(R) for Outstanding Sound Mixing for a Comedy or Drama Series (Half-Hour) and Animation at last week's Creative Arts ceremonies.

"These awards are a wonderful tribute to both shows," said Kevin Beggs, Lionsgate's president of television programming and production. "We're privileged to be working with brilliantly talented teams led by Matt Weiner and Jenji Kohan and extremely honored by this recognition from the TV Academy."

Mary-Louise Parker has been honored with four Golden Globe nominations including a 2006 win, two Emmy nominations and four SAG nominations, among other awards for her work in WEEDS.
