JACK & DAN (FOX) - Bradley Whitford ("The West Wing") is the first to be cast in the drama, about "Jack, an ambitious, by-the-book cop who is partnered with Dan, a drunken, lecherous, wild-card cop who hangs onto his job only because of a heroic act years before." He'll play the latter character in the hour, which comes from Fox Television Studios and creator Matt Nix. The international co-production, set to begin filming next year, has a 13-episode order from the network.
PARENTHOOD (NBC) - "Gilmore Girls" alum Lauren Graham has officially joined the cast of the upcoming drama. The actress entered negotiations to join the hour earlier this week. As previously reported, she'll take over for Maura Tierney as one of the four Braverman siblings (the others played by Peter Krause, Erika Christensen and Dax Shepard) who's forced to move back home with her parents (Bonnie Bedelia and Craig T. Nelson).
UNTITLED MARC CHERRY/ALEXANDRA CUNNINGHAM PROJECT (ABC, New!) - "Desperate Housewives" creator Marc Cherry is developing a new drama at the Alphabet alongside Alexandra Cunningham. Initially tapped as a potential "Housewives" spin-off, the untitled hour has now been confirmed as a standalone series. No details about the project were released other than it is along the lines of "Housewives" in tone. The pair will co-write the script and executive produce alongside Sabrina Wind for ABC Studios, where Cherry's overall deal is based.

Paramount to Acquire Warner Bros. Discovery to Form Next-Generation Global Media and Entertainment Company
The transaction has been unanimously approved by the Boards of Directors of both companies and is expected to close in Q3 2026, subject to customary closing conditions, including regulatory clearances and approval by WBD shareholders, with a vote expected in the early spring of 2026.
