"THE SECRET LIFE OF THE AMERICAN TEENAGER" AND "MAKE IT OR BREAK IT" RETURN ON MONDAY, JANUARY 11 ON ABC FAMILY
Burbank, CA (October 13, 2009) � ABC Family's two original hit dramas, "The Secret Life of the American Teenager" and "Make It or Break It," will return back to back this winter beginning on Monday, January 11th (8:00-9:00PM ET/PT and 9:00-10:00PM ET/PT). "The Secret Life of the American Teenager" returns (8:00-9:00PM ET/PT) to complete its second season with 12 all-new episodes; "Make It or Break It" (9:00PM-10:00PM ET/PT) returns to complete its first season with 10 all-new episodes.
The heartfelt drama "The Secret Life of the American Teenager" focuses on the relationships between families and friends and how they deal with teenage issues, including an unexpected pregnancy. Created and executive-produced by Brenda Hampton, the series stars Shailene Woodley, Molly Ringwald, Mark Derwin, India Eisley, Ken Baumann, Daren Kagasoff, Francia Raisa, Megan Park and Greg Finley.
"Make It or Break It," set in the world of competitive gymnastics, follows a group of teen Olympic hopefuls as they train and prepare for their day in the spotlight. The show stars Chelsea Hobbs, Ayla Kell, Josie Loren, Cassie Scerbo, Zachary Burr Abel, Peri Gilpin, Candace Cameron Bure and Susan Ward. Created and written by Holly Sorensen, the series executive producers are Sorenson and Paul Stupin.
Driven by original series "The Secret Life of the American Teenager" and newcomer "Make It or Break It," 3Q09 recently wrapped as ABC Family's most-watched 3Q in the Net's history in Prime in Adults 18-34, Women 18-34, Adults 18-49, Women 18-49 and Females 12-34.
