Fans to Determine The Top Five Nominees In Each Category and the New Trophy Design at http://www.peopleschoice.com/

Voting has begun at http://www.peopleschoice.com/ to determine the top five nominees in each category for 36TH ANNUAL PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARDS, the only major awards show where fans choose their favorites in music, movies and television. As previously announced, the 36TH ANNUAL PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARDS, hosted by award-winning performer Queen Latifah, will be broadcast live from Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE on Wednesday, Jan. 6 (9:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

Fans can vote in 31 categories, including Favorite Movie, Favorite TV Obsession and Favorite Breakout Artist. The top five nominees in each category will be announced on Nov. 10, at the SLS Hotel at Beverly Hills during the annual People's Choice Awards press conference.

Nominee voting will also take place on MySpace where fans can share content and converse about the awards on the official People's Choice Awards profile at www.myspace.com/peopleschoiceawards. The list of potential nominees for 36TH ANNUAL PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARDS was determined by national ratings averages, box-office grosses and music sales, and vetted through Visible Measures, the independent third-party measurement firm for Internet video.

For the first time in People's Choice Awards history, fans will choose the new design for the official People's Choice Awards trophy. Fans can pick their favorite of three designs posted on http://www.peopleschoice.com/ from now until Oct. 26. The winning PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARD trophy will be revealed during the Nov. 10 press conference. Waterford craftsmen will create each trophy in Ireland from hand-cut crystal for the winners of 36TH ANNUAL PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARDS.

Now in its 36th year, the People's Choice Awards is voted on entirely by the public for fan favorites in music, movies and television. The People's Choice website at http://www.peopleschoice.com/ serves as a year-round destination for entertainment enthusiasts to voice their opinions on pop culture, and determine the nominees and winners for the annual awards show. Fred Nelson is the President of People's Choice, and the awards show is produced by Procter & Gamble Productions, Inc., which is represented by MediaVest Worldwide, Inc., supervisors of the production. Mark Burnett is the executive producer.
