CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM (HBO) - TV Land and TV Guide Network's purchase of the show's off-cable rights is reportedly valued at $600,000 per episode. The pact gives the latter access to all episodes produced to date beginning in February with TV Land taking over in 2013 (or later should an eighth season be produced). Earlier this year, Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution cleared the series on the Tribune stations in 17 markets - including New York, Los Angeles and Chicago - for a fall 2010 launch.

FACING KATE (USA) - Michael Trucco ("Battlestar Galactica") and Virginia Williams ("Monarch Cove") have both joined the cast of the drama pilot, about Kate (Sarah Shahi), "a divorced San Francisco woman who leaves her job as a lawyer to become a mediator following the death of her dad, who headed a law firm." He'll play Kate's ex-husband, also an attorney, "a charmer who has feelings for her," while Williams is set as "Kate's obsessive and controlling younger stepmother who is determined to keep her husband's firm." In addition, Bronwen Hughes ("White Collar") had been tapped to direct the pilot from a script by creator Michael Sardo. Russ Buchholz and Steve Stark also serve as executive producers for Universal Cable Productions.

LIE TO ME (FOX) - Melissa George ("Grey's Anatomy") has booked a recurring role on the show's second season. She'll play Clara Martin, "an Anna Nicole Smith-type who will go toe-to-toe with Tim Roth," Entertainment Weekly reports. Said character will make her first appearance in the show's 11th episode.

SMALLVILLE (The CW) - Pam Grier has been tapped as comics villain Amanda Waller on the veteran superhero drama. She'll debut in the show's two-part event surrounding the Justice Society early next year, Entertainment Weekly reports. Said event also features Michael Shanks as Hawkman, Brent Stait as Doctor Fate, Britt Irvin as Stargirl, Erica Carroll as Inza Nelson and the return of Phil Morris as Martian Manhunter.

THE VAMPIRE DIARIES (The CW) - Sean Faris ("Never Back Down") has scored a multi-episode arc on the newcomer. He'll play Ben, "an ex-high school football star-turned-bartender at the Mystic Grill," according to a report from Entertainment Weekly. It's not clear when his first episode will air.
