truTV Orders More Episodes of ALL WORKED UP, Hit Original Series about Jobs Involving Extreme Conflict

truTV's hit original series ALL WORKED UP will be back with more workers getting yelled at, insulted and sometimes even assaulted ... all before their first coffee break. The network has ordered 13 new episodes, slated to begin airing in spring 2010.

ALL WORKED UP showcases the first-person stories of a recurring cast of workers who must calm people down on a daily basis. From repossessing property to delivering court papers, the professionals featured in the show have been there, done that and lived to tell about it. The result is a blend of passionate confrontations and laugh-out-loud encounters.

"ALL WORKED UP proved to be highly successful with our core audience of young adult viewers," said Marc Juris, executive vice president and general manager of truTV/IN SESSION. "The combination of high-pressure situations and memorable people makes for truly great television."

The new episodes truTV has ordered will include workers who became popular with viewers during the show's run this past October: Ron and Amy Shirley, who run the Lizard Lick Towing and Recovery repossessing company in Wendell, N.C., and Bryan McElderry, a process server in New York.

Ron and Amy Shirley primarily repossess vehicles and machinery. Their clients are lien holders. Ron's role is to locate and repossess property, while Amy deals with irate owners who come demanding that their property be returned. Ron opened Lizard Lick Towing in 1998 with one truck. With Amy's help, the business grew over a period of 10 years to become a successful company with a staff of 15 and a fleet of 20 trucks. Ron, who is an ordained minister with a soft spot for people who have fallen on hard times, prepares a huge barbecue meal each year to help some of the people who have had their property repossessed by Lizard Lick Towing.

Bryan McElderry is a native Bronx resident and 20-year veteran of the New York legal system. He is contracted by the state to issue court orders to people who don't want to be found. The orders range from unpaid fines to divorce proceedings. His job is doubly hard due to the fact that McElderry has to issue the papers face to face. Without physically putting the papers into a defendant's hands, the documents don't count as being served. Getting close to people can mean dodging fists or running from dogs.

Additional participants for the new episodes will be announced later.

During its initial run, ALL WORKED UP averaged 1.3 million viewers and ranked among the Top 5 cable entertainment programs in its Monday 9-10 p.m. time period in delivery of adults 18-49 (682,000); adults 25-54 (674,000); men 18-49 (379,000) and men 25-54 (396,000). It also ranked among the Top Ten cable entertainment programs in its time period in delivery of adults 18-34 (343,000); men 18-34 (167,000) and total viewers (1,282,000). Compared to truTV's overall prime averages, ALL WORKED UP delivered strong growth among adults 18-34 (+38%), adults 18-49 (+29%), men 18-49 (+29%) and viewers (+18%).

ALL WORKED UP comes to truTV from RDF USA. Chris Coelen and Lauren Gellert serve as executive producers for RDF. For truTV, Robyn Hutt serves as executive in charge of production, and Jessica Shreeve serves as executive producer.
