LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- Spike TV is giving viewers an early look at its new scripted series "Blue Mountain State."
The half-hour comedy, about three incoming freshman attending a college football powerhouse who "must quickly adapt to college life while juggling football, girls and nonstop hazing," will preview its premiere episode after the network's "UFC Fight Night: Maynard vs Diaz" telecast on Monday, January 11 at 11:00/10:00c.
The series will then have its official premiere as previously announced on Tuesday, January 12 at 10:00/9:00c with back-to-back episodes.
Leading into the newcomer will be the off-pay-cable premiere of HBO's "Entourage." Back-to-back installments of the series will fill the Tuesday, 9:00/8:00c hour beginning with its pilot episode.
Spike TV acquired the show's repeat rights back in May for an estimated $600,000 per episode.
