NBC ANNOUNCES ALL-AMERICAN CHEF AND TV PERSONALITY GUY FIERI AS HOST OF FAMILY-FRIENDLY PRIMETIME GAME SHOW 'PERFECT 10'

"Try Outs for "Perfect 10" Taking Place at Fieri's Upcoming Roadshows in Mesa, Arizona (Dec. 18) and Las Vegas, Nevada (Dec. 19)

UNIVERSAL CITY, CALIF. - December 18, 2009 - All-American chef and popular television personality Guy Fieri ("Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives") will host NBC's new game show "Perfect 10" slated for NBC's primetime schedule next year. Producers are currently searching the country for contestants and interested competitors can try out at Fieri's upcoming Roadshows, which will take place in Mesa, Arizona (December 18) and Las Vegas, Nevada (December 19).

"Guy's enthusiasm is infectious, said Paul Telegdy, Executive Vice President, NBC Alternative Programming. "He's a true gamer at heart and his excitement for this show will inspire both the competitors and viewers at home to join in on the fun.

"This show is out of bounds," said Guy Fieri. "It truly is America's game show, anyone can compete. Contestants who complete 10 games in 10 minutes will win a $1 million prize, it's the win-it-in-a-minute attitude."

Fieri will serve as master of ceremonies. In each episode, Fieri will lead competitors through a series of simple, yet nerve-wracking games that can reward them a $1 million prize. Over eight one-hour episodes, competitors will face 10 challenges that escalate in level of difficulty. Created using everyday household items, each game has a 60-second time limit and failure to finish the task on time will eliminate the contestant. One slip of the hand and you're out. At various points throughout the game, the contestant can walk away with the money earned up to that point, but it'll take nerves of steel to complete all 10 tasks to win $1 million.

Only a few short years ago, Fieri won the second season of "The Next Food Network Star" and went on to host a variety of popular shows on the Food Network including "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives" and "Guy Off the Hook," making him a household name. He can also be seen in "Guy's Big Bite" and "Ultimate Recipe Showdown."

Producers are currently searching for contestants for "Perfect 10." Interested competitors can try out at Fieri's upcoming Roadshows, locations below. For additional information log onto www.nbc.com/casting
