SYFY TAKES GHOSTLY ADVENTURE GLOBAL WITH THE RETURN OF HIT REALITY SERIES, GHOST HUNTERS INTERNATIONAL PREMIERING WEDNESDAY JANUARY 6

The Search Is On For "Hitler's Ghost" In The Hour-Long Premiere Episode at 9 PM (ET/ PT)

New York, NY - December 21, 2009 - Syfy rings in New Year's with the return of the hit reality series, Ghost Hunters International (GHI), premiering on Syfy on Wednesday, January 6 at 9 p.m. (ET/PT). The seven, hour-long episodes will have the GHI team traveling to a different international country each week in pursuit of the truth behind bizarre supernatural claims. These real-life ghost-busters' will globe trot to such locations as Argentina, Australia, Tasmania, Jamaica, Costa Rica and Malaysia.

In the premiere episode titled "Hitler's Ghost," the GHI team ventures to Miramar, Argentina and set their sights on the Gran Hotel Viena, once the secret residence of many Nazi war criminals including rumored guest, Adolf Hitler. The hunt is on, as GHI tries to debunk claims that the hotel is actually haunted by Hitler himself.

Like their U.S. counterpart, TAPS (The Atlantic Paranormal Society), GHI is a squad made up of everyday ordinary citizens who investigate and attempt to debunk claims of other worldly activity. A spin-off of Syfy's popular Ghost Hunters series, GHI has continued to cement the Ghost Hunters brand as the top paranormal franchise in cable since its January 2008 debut.

The GHI cast includes: Robb Demarest, Dustin Pari, Barry FitzGerald, Brandy Green, Joe Chin, Ashley Godwin and GHI newcomer, Paul Bradford.

Ghost Hunters International is produced in association with Craig Piligian's Pilgrim Films and Television (American Chopper, Dirty Jobs, The Ultimate Fighter). Piligian and Thomas Thayer, along with Rob Katz and Alan David, serve as executive producers.

Syfy is a media destination for imagination-based entertainment. With year round acclaimed original series, events, blockbuster movies, classic science fiction and fantasy programming, a dynamic Web site (www.Syfy.com), and a portfolio of adjacent business (Syfy Ventures), Syfy is a passport to limitless possibilities. Originally launched in 1992 as SCI FI Channel, and currently in 95 million homes, Syfy is a network of NBC Universal, one of the world's leading media and entertainment companies. (Syfy.
