CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION (CBS) - CBS Television Distribution's sale of the show's non-exclusive off-network rights is reportedly valued at $500,000 per episode. Said number is considered rather high for a second cycle, which begins in September 2014. Spike TV, which has carried repeats of the show since 2004, paid $1.6 million per episode for its initial window.
MR. SUNSHINE (A.K.A. UNTITLED MATTHEW PERRY PROJECT) (ABC) - Matthew Perry's comedy for the Alphabet has a title and a green light to produce a pilot. The "Friends" alum stars as "the manager of an aging San Diego stadium who realizes on his 40th birthday that he can no longer get by on just his charming, noncommittal ways." Perry, Alex Barnow and Marc Firek all co-wrote the half-hour, which Thomas Schlamme is slated to direct. The group is also set to executive produce for Sony Pictures Television, as is studio-based producer Jamie Tarses.
