TELL ALL THE PEOPLE... THE MUSIC OF LEGENDARY ROCK GROUP THE DOORS WILL PLAY EXCLUSIVELY THROUGHOUT THE EPISODE OF "COLD CASE" ON SUNDAY, FEB. 21

LOS ANGELES - Several songs by the iconic rock group, The Doors, will be featured exclusively throughout the episode of COLD CASE to be broadcast Sunday, Feb. 21 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. The featured songs will be "Light My Fire," "Waiting for the Sun," "Love Her Madly," "Wild Child," "Riders on the Storm," "Moonlight Drive" and "People Are Strange."

In the episode, titled "Metamorphosis," the team investigates the 1971 death of a teenaged circus aerialist whose mid-act fall may have been the result of foul play. Meanwhile, Rush faces potential charges in another case. Joe Penny ("Jake and the Fatman," "Riptide") returns as the father of the victim in last season's two-part finale episode. Guest stars include Emmy Award winner Peggy McCay ("The Trials of Rosie O'Neill," "Days of Our Lives") and Michael John Anderson ("Carnivle") who play a fellow circus performer and the ringmaster of the victim's traveling circus, respectively. Series star Danny Pino co-wrote this episode with series producer Adam Glass.

"Both Adam (Glass) and I are definitely Doors-heads," shared Pino. "There was really no other band in our minds as our story of a case involving a traveling circus in the 70s started to manifest itself. So, we're excited that COLD CASE was able to secure The Doors' music for this episode. Their haunting lyrics, mesmerizing melodies and a pulsating foreboding keyboard proved an ideal soundtrack to accompany murder in a 'one ring mud show.'"

Past single-artist episodes of COLD CASE featured the music of Ray Charles, John Lennon, Frank Sinatra, Nirvana, Johnny Cash, John Mellencamp, Bruce Springsteen, Tim McGraw, U2, Bob Dylan, Santana, Bob Seger and, in the two-part sixth season finale, Pearl Jam.

COLD CASE stars Kathryn Morris, Danny Pino, John Finn, Jeremy Ratchford, Thom Barry and Tracie Thoms. It is produced by Jerry Bruckheimer Television in association with CBS Television Studios and Warner Bros. Television. Jerry Bruckheimer, Jonathan Littman, Meredith Stiehm, Jennifer Johnson and Greg Plageman are the executive producers.

The Doors - singer Jim Morrison, drummer John Densmore, guitarist Robby Krieger, and keyboardist Ray Manzarek - are one of America's most iconic rock bands. Their debut in 1967 was followed by a string of hit singles and albums that have become some of the most legendary of all time. More than 42 years later, The Doors' music and legacy are more influential than ever before. The first feature documentary about The Doors, When You're Strange, will be released theatrically this spring. The film is produced by Dick Wolf and features narration by Johnny Depp.
