FULL-TIME DAD REPORTING FOR DUTY!

'JAG' STAR DAVID JAMES ELLIOTT AND DAYTIME EMMY(R) WINNER SHARON CASE STAR IN 'DAD'S HOME,' A HALLMARK CHANNEL ORIGINAL MOVIE PREMIERING JUNE 19

Sometimes losing something is all it takes to realize what you already have. When a single dad is fired from the job that has been keeping him out of his kids' lives, he is faced with the reality of becoming a stay-at-home parent in "Dad's Home," a Hallmark Channel Original Movie premiering Saturday, June 19 (9p.m. ET/PT, 8c). "JAG" veteran David James Elliott and "The Young and the Restless" star Sharon Case come together in a story about a workaholic who is thrown into dad duty, just in time to heal the family bonds he has been breaking.

Widower Ben Westman (Elliott) barely knows his two kids, 12-year-old Lindsay (Madison Davenport, "Kitt Kittridge: An American Girl") and eight-year-old Dylan (Will Shadley, "Dirty Sexy Money"). As a busy advertising executive, Ben hires housekeepers to keep things running smoothly at home. But suddenly, that all changes when he loses his job and must fire his help, take over the household chores and become a full-time father. Completely unprepared, Ben makes a mess of the cooking and cleaning in the house, and discovers his children have been growing up without him. When he finds out that Dylan has quit little league without telling him and Lindsay is becoming more consumed with fashion magazines and boys, Ben faces the challenge of reconnecting with his children while mourning the loss of both his wife and his career.

Eventually, Ben gets the hang of things with the help of his brother, Brian (Jay Huguley, "Brothers & Sisters"), and Dylan's friendly, third-grade teacher, Hope (Case). But the kids are still getting used to Dad's rules. Lindsay sneaks out with a boy, and Dylan gets in trouble for starting a fight at school. To deal with this, Ben turns to Hope, and there is an instant attraction between them. As Ben spends more time with his kids and gets to know Hope better, he finds out being a stay-at-home dad isn't so bad. But then, a great interview lands Ben a job offer in Cleveland, and he must ultimately decide what is best not just for himself, but also for his family.

"Dad's Home" is an LG Films Production in association with Larry Levinson Productions. Larry Levinson is the executive producer. Randy Pope and Tony Roman are the co-executive producers. Brian J. Gordon and Jim Wilberger are the producers. Bradford May directed from a script written by Adam Rockoff.
