Lady Antebellum and Rascal Flatts to Perform on Next Results Show Wednesday, April 28

Finalist Tim Urban was eliminated from AMERICAN IDOL tonight during IDOL GIVES BACK, a special musical celebration raising awareness and funds to benefit various U.S. and international charities, including Children's Health Fund, Feeding America, Malaria No More, Save the Children's U.S. Programs and the United Nations Foundation. On Tuesday's inspirational songs-themed performance show, Urban, 20, from Duncanville, TX, performed "Better Days."

This year, IDOL GIVES BACK was broadcast live from the AMERICAN IDOL stage and the Pasadena Civic Auditorium, where Queen Latifah emceed the evening and some of music's biggest stars, including Sir Elton John, Carrie Underwood, The Black Eyed Peas, Annie Lennox, Jeff Beck & Joss Stone and Mary J. Blige & the All-Star Band, performed. The evening also featured special appearances by President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama, Victoria Beckham, Morgan Freeman, Wanda Sykes, George Lopez and David Cook.

Next week, the Top 6 finalists - Crystal Bowersox, Lee DeWyze, Casey James, Aaron Kelly, Michael Lynche and Siobhan Magnus - will take the stage Tuesday, April 27 (8:00-9:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed) on FOX to perform selections from the Shania Twain songbook with help from guest mentor Shania Twain.

Tune in the following night, Wednesday, April 28 (9:00-10:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed), to see Lady Antebellum perform their smash single "Need You Now" and Rascal Flatts perform their hit "Unstoppable" and to find out who receives enough votes to stay in the competition and who is sent home.

The iTunes Store, the No. 1 music retailer in the U.S., will donate net proceeds from sales of last night's Top 7 finalist performances to IDOL GIVES BACK. In addition, select guest performances from tonight's one-of-a-kind philanthropic event will also be featured on the iTunes Store (itunes.com).
