NEW YORK, NY/SANTA MONICA, CA - (May 4, 2010) - One of the most preeminent voices and accomplished performers of the last decade, Christina Aguilera has been confirmed to take the stage at the 2010 MTV MOVIE AWARDS. Aguilera's performance of "Not Myself Tonight" comes days before the release of her highly anticipated album Bionic available on June 8. In addition, Tom Cruise, Cameron Diaz, Zac Efron, Jonah Hill, Jessica Biel, Bradley Cooper, Steve Carell, Miranda Cosgrove, Shaun White, Vanessa Hudgens, Sean "Diddy," Combs and Russell Brand are the first presenters to be announced. Hosted by Aziz Ansari, the 2010 MTV MOVIE AWARDS will be broadcast LIVE from the Gibson Amphitheater in Universal City, CA on Sunday, June 6 at 9pm/Eastern, 8pm/Central.

With 30 million albums sold worldwide and the prestigious honor of being the only artist under the age of 30 included in Rolling Stone Magazine's list of the 100 greatest singers of all time, 5-time Grammy Award winner Christina Aguilera will be releasing Bionic on June 8th, 2010. Bionic features songs co-written by Aguilera along with her much buzzed about collaborations including Sia, Tricky Stewart, Polow Da Don, Le Tigre, Hill & Switch, and Ladytron among others.

Continuing its tradition for being one of the most shocking and atypical awards shows on television, this year's show will feature three all-new and outrageous categories that include "BIGGEST BAD-ASS STAR", "BEST SCARED-AS S**T PERFORMANCE" and "GLOBAL SUPERSTAR." For the first time EVER in "Movie Awards" history, voting will go international as fans worldwide will be able to vote for their favorite global stars in the "GLOBAL SUPERSTAR" category by visiting their local MTV websites.

The final nominees for the 2010 MTV MOVIE AWARDS in 13 returning and all-new categories will be decided on by the fans. From March 29th - April 9th, viewers can visit MovieAwards.MTV.com (www.MovieAwards.MTV.com) to vote their favorite films, movie moments and actors into the final list of nominees. Then, the winner voting period commences from May 12th - June 5th.
