(Silver Spring, Md.) - The All-American boy next door. A church-going grandmother. A devoted brother. They were respected role models and trusted members of their community - until the day each of them was charged with a shocking crime. This summer, Investigation Discovery shines a light on some UNUSUAL SUSPECTS, showing that even the nicest neighbor can have a sinister side. From vengeful family members to a corrupt officer patrolling the roads, UNUSUAL SUSPECTS profiles those you would least expect to be capable of committing such dark deeds. Investigation Discovery, America's leading investigation network presents UNUSUAL SUSPECTS beginning Monday, June 21 at 10 PM (ET), with a sneak preview of the series airing on Memorial Day.

Each one-hour episode of UNUSUAL SUSPECTS showcases some of the most baffling and challenging cases in contemporary law enforcement, and commends the unwavering investigations that led to the arrest of these unlikely culprits. Featuring in-depth interviews from some of America's top investigative forces, viewers find out how these illusive offenders evaded justice for years, and how persistent police work and a passion for justice ultimately got them caught.

The first four episodes of UNUSUAL SUSPECTS include:

· The Killer Nearby: Sneak Peek Airs Monday, May 31 at 10 PM for Memorial Day

A 40-year-old mother disappears from her home in the middle of the night, and police chase multiple leads before coming up empty. Almost a year goes by until they investigate a very unlikely suspect - a high-school neighbor with an affinity for older women. Then, a teenage boy is murdered in his home and detectives believe his campaign against teen gang activity led to his death. But the community is horrified when police arrest one of their "model citizens" for ordering the hit.

· Betrayal of Trust: Season Premieres Episode Airs Monday, June 21 at 10 PM

A husband and wife are found shot to death on a deserted stretch of highway. Phone records help detectives uncover a murder-for-hire plot that went horribly wrong, and discover that one of their victims is also their prime suspect. Next, when a 20-year-old woman is found murdered near a freeway exit ramp, the residents of San Diego demand justice. But when a trusted police officer is identified for the crime, the community is shaken to its core.

· A Mother's Conviction: Airs Monday, June 28 at 10 PM

A young boy is killed in the middle of the night, and his own mother is convicted of the crime. Years later, an author investigates a convicted murderer for her upcoming novel, and gets a confession that re-opens that case file and eventually, sets the mother free.

· Will To Murder: Airs Monday, July 5 at 10 PM

A delivery man guns down an affluent couple, with their only son barely escaping. The investigation reveals a greedy relative with a motive too close to home.
