KICK ASS MILITIA (FX, New!) - Actor/producer Matthew McConaughey is developing a new single-camera comedy at the cable channel about "two brothers whose divergent views are always pitting them against each other on their Malibu compound - one a survivalist and one a free-loving cult leader." Marc Hyman is penning the half-hour, which is based on source material by J.R. Reed. McConaughey then will executive produce via his J.K. Livin banner.

OFF THE MAP (ABC) - Gretchen Berg and Aaron Harberts have inked a two-year overall deal with ABC Studios. The pact sets up the veteran duo at the studio where they'll develop new series projects.
