IT'S A MAD NEW WORLD

AMC'S TWO-TIME EMMY(R) AND THREE-TIME GOLDEN GLOBE(R) AWARD-WINNING DRAMA "MAD MEN" RETURNS SUNDAY, JULY 25 AT 10PM ET/PT

Premiere Episode Presented with Limited Commercial Breaks

Created and Executive Produced by Emmy(R) and Golden Globe(R) Winner Matthew Weiner

NEW YORK, NY - July 6, 2010 - Welcome back to a Mad New World. AMC's critically acclaimed series "Mad Men," winner of three consecutive Golden Globes(R) and back-to-back Emmys(R) for Outstanding Drama Series, returns for a new season rife with possibilities on Sunday, July 25 at 10 PM ET/9C. Created by Emmy(R) and Golden Globe(R)-winning executive producer Matthew Weiner and produced by LIONSGATE(R), "Mad Men" riveted audiences with a cliffhanger finale in season three, as Don Draper's professional and personal lives unexpectedly imploded. This season, the series' breakout ensemble cast continues to captivate as they grapple with an uncertain new reality.

In season three, "Mad Men's" unflinching look at the human condition continued as characters faced the realities of dramatic change in the country - from the birth of civil rights to the assassination of a president - and in their personal lives. Whether it was corporate politics, homophobia in the workplace or the frustration of betrayal, they dealt with an unsettling loss of the familiar. Audiences were stunned by the self-destruction of protagonist Don Draper, including a confrontation with wife Betty that forced him to reveal the truth about his past and identity, and the resale of Sterling Cooper by British parent company Putnam, Powell and Lowe (PPL), which left its partners on the brink of a new beginning.

The consequences of the shattering secrets exposed in season three will continue to reverberate in "Mad Men's" fourth season, as the lives of the men and women of Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce continue to evolve. As relationships are redefined and people are forced to face themselves and the world around them in new ways, the series will continue to question the traditional norms and the simmering societal frustrations between women and men with compelling storylines and resonant moments that are sure to enthrall as the new season unfolds.

Season four of "Mad Men" is anchored by an award-winning ensemble cast, including Golden Globe-winner Jon Hamm, January Jones, Elisabeth Moss, Vincent Kartheiser, Christina Hendricks, John Slattery, Jared Harris, Rich Sommer, Aaron Staton, Robert Morse, and Kiernan Shipka.

Leading into the season four premiere, AMC will air three "Best of Mad Men" Marathons, hosted by Matthew Weiner. Featuring five episodes from each season, the "Best of Mad Men" Marathons will air on Mondays at 8pm throughout July. The "Best of Season One" kicks off on July 5, followed by "Best of Season Two" on July 12 and "Best of Season Three" on July 19. The first three seasons of "Mad Men" are also available On Demand, in both standard- and high-definition.

"Mad Men" is produced by Lionsgate in association with AMC. Joining Weiner is executive producer Scott Hornbacher ("The Sopranos"); co-executive producers Andr & Maria Jacquemetton ("Star Trek: Enterprise"); consulting producers Lisa Albert ("Becker") and Janet Leahy ("Life Unexpected"); producers Dahvi Waller ("Desperate Housewives"), Jonathan Abrahams ("Raising The Bar"), Dwayne Shattuck ("Hidden Palms") and Blake McCormick ("Swingtown"); and associate producer Marcy Patterson ("Miss Guided"). Christopher Manley, ASC ("Prison Break") is director of photography. Emmy(R) Award winner Dan Bishop ("Big Love") is production designer and Emmy(R) Award winner Janie Bryant ("Deadwood") is costume designer. Christopher Nelson, A.C.E. ("Lost"), Leo Trombetta, A.C.E. ("The Pacific") and Tom Wilson ("Rome") are editors.
