LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- CBS has nixed its Canadian import "The Bridge" while ABC has tabled its plans to revive "Shark Tank."
Both moves were confirmed via scheduling updates released by their respective networks this afternoon.
"The Bridge's" exit comes after just two weeks, leaving 10 episodes on the shelf. Repeats of "Cold Case" will shift to the Saturday, 8:00/7:00c hour effective immediately. ("The Good Wife" repeats will take over on Sundays at 10:00/9:00c until "CSI: Miami" repeats assume the slot on August 15.)
"The Bridge" opened to an invisible 3.25 million viewers (including a 0.5 adults 18-49 rating) on July 10, falling to 2.88 million viewers and a 0.3 adults 18-49 rating this past weekend - all last place finishes in said time period.
Meanwhile, "Shark Tank" isn't returning to ABC's lineup anytime soon. Originally set to return on Thursday, July 15 at 8:00/7:00c and then bumped to July 29, the series is now off the schedule completely.
"Wipeout" will continue in the slot for the rest of the summer, in addition to its regular Tuesday, 8:00/7:00c airings.
ABC still has one original installment of "Shark Tank" yet to air.
