THE BIG BALLS WILL BE BACK!! ABC PICKS UP "WIPEOUT" FOR A FOURTH SEASON

"Wipeout," ABC's outrageously popular reality series, has been picked up for a fourth season. Twenty-four daring contestants of all shapes and sizes will compete in the world's largest extreme obstacle course designed to provide the best face plants, biggest splashes and wondrous wipeouts ever seen on television. Wipeout is hosted by John Anderson (ESPN's "SportsCenter,"), John Henson (E! Entertainment's "Talk Soup") and co-hosted by Jill Wagner.

"I'm excited that a fourth season will give our team the opportunity to create bigger and funnier ways to wipeout contestants and thrill families across America," said creator and Executive Producer Matt Kunitz.

Next season will bring two brand new courses, including all new wipeout zones, a brand new "motivator" for the Big Balls, the classic sweeper with a whole new twist, and new surprises, including the Lawn Mower and the Sky Scraper Slide.

In its third season, "Wipeout" is a standout performer for ABC in two highly-competitive 8 o'clock time slots, as it regularly finishes No. 1. Impressively, "Wipeout-TUES" is up year to year over its sophomore season average by +12% in Total Viewers and +8% in Adults 18-49. The show is also growing year to year between 9-21% across each of the key Women demographics. In addition, "Wipeout" is generating huge time-period increases for ABC on both evenings among Total Viewers and Adults 18-49, more than doubling the net's results at the same point last summer on Tuesday (+128%/+142%) and Thursday (+109%/+127%).

"Wipeout" is currently casting for Season 4. For more information visit ABC.com

Each week, 24 energetic new contestants of all ages, shapes and sizes go head to head through four rounds of demanding but hilarious obstacle courses to win the title of "Wipeout Champion" and the $50,000 grand prize. In the end, only one contestant will be victorious, while everyone else will Wipeout!

"Wipeout" executive producers are Matt Kunitz ("Fear Factor") and Scott Larsen. Shye Sutherland, Kevin Wehrenberg, Trice Barto and J. Rupert Thompson are co-executive producers. The series is produced by Endemol USA. David Goldberg is the chairman of Endemol North America.
