LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- NBC has signed on to carry President Obama's speech on Tuesday, August 31 at 8:00/7:00c.
The 20-minute address, marking the end of combat operations in Iraq, will be followed by "Minute to Win It" (abbreviated to 40 minutes in the Eastern and Central time zones) and a two-hour "America's Got Talent."
Separately, the Peacock has pushed the premiere of its new reality series "School Pride" from Friday, September 24 to Friday, October 15 at 8:00/7:00c. In its place the network will expand lead-out "Dateline NBC" to two hours beginning at 8:00/7:00c.
In a note sent to its affiliates, said move was billed as needed to properly market the series outside the crowded "premiere week" of September 20-26.
