FREE AGENTS (NBC, New!) - John Enbom ("Party Down") is developing a domestic take on the U.K.'s Rose D'Or prize-winning comedy, about an agent going through a messy divorce. Stephen Mangan, Anthony Head and Sharon Horgan co-starred in the British incarnation, which was written by Chris Niel and comes from Big Talk's Simon Pegg, Nira Park, Kenton Allen and Matthew Justice. Endbom then will executive produce alongside said quartet and Dark Toy's Karey Burke and Todd Holland for Universal Media Studios.
LANCASTER (CBS, New!) - Andrew Lipsitz ("CSI: NY") has booked a script at the Eye about a Scotland yard detective who joins the LAPD. The drama is set up at Sam Raimi and Joshua Donen's Stars Road Entertainment with the duo executive producing alongside Lipsitz for Sony Pictures Television. No other details were given.
THE RIVER (ABC, New!) - Oren Peli ("Paranormal Activity") is reportedly close to landing a put pilot commitment from the Alphabet for a new drama about "a famed adventuter/TV personality who goes missing and is presumed dead deep in the Amazon [whose] friends and crew go to look for him on their state-of-the-art research vessel." Michael R. Perry is penning the hour with Peli potentially attached to direct. DreamWorks Television and ABC Studios are co-producing while Darryl Frank and Justin Falvey will executive produce alongside Perry, Peli, Jason Blum and Steven Schneider.
SUNDAYS AT TIFFANY'S (Lifetime, New!) - Alyssa Milano is set to topline a new telefilm at the cable channel about "a bride-to-be visited by the adult incarnation of her childhood imaginary friend" who begins to re-examine her life. The project is based on James Patterson's novel of the same name with Judith Verno, Dan Wigutow and Patterson himself executive producing for Sony Pictures Television. Eric Winter also stars in the project, however no director or writer was indicated.
UNTITLED MARC GUGGENHEIM/JENNIFER ROBINSON PROJECT (ABC, New!) - Marc Guggenheim, Jennifer Robinson and Gary Fleder are developing a new drama at the Alphabet about "the White House Office of Crisis Management as they tackle one huge global crisis per season." Guggenheim and Robinson are co-writing the ABC Studios-based project, the first season of which "would chronicle a crisis with a ticking clock on board the international space station." Fleder then is attached to direct and executive produce alongside his Mojo Films partner Mary Beth Basile.
