THE GREEN ROOM WITH PAUL PROVENZA Returns For 2nd Season, To Premiere in 2011

LOS ANGELES, CA - (September 09, 2010) - SHOWTIME has ordered a second season of the critically acclaimed comedy series THE GREEN ROOM WITH PAUL PROVENZA. The six-episode series will again offer viewers the rare opportunity to watch comic legends share their innermost thoughts, personal anecdotes and raw humor with each other in an intimate setting. Season two will be filmed in Los Angeles and debut on the network in 2011.

Hosted by comedian Paul Provenza (director and co-producer of "The Aristocrats"), each episode features a handful of comedic geniuses as they tackle topics in a spontaneous, uncensored format. Season one, which the New York Daily News gave 4 stars, Star Tribune called "...one of the funniest, most fascinating forums of the summer..." and The Hollywood Reporter said, "...is as close as most of us will ever get to seeing what happens when comedians hang out with each other," featured such diverse comedians -- from Jonathan Winters to Eddie Izzard to Roseanne Barr, among others.
