ONE MAN'S PASSION FOR CHRISTMAS TRADITIONS TRANSFORMS A TOWN

CHRISTINE TAYLOR STARS IN 'FAREWELL MR. KRINGLE' A HALLMARK CHANNEL ORIGINAL MOVIE WORLD PREMIERE DECEMBER 4

Vivica A. Fox, Chris Wiehl And W. Morgan Sheppard Also Star

Christine Taylor (Zoolander) stars as cynical scrooge and jaded journalist Ann Wahl who is forced by her editor Zoe (Vivica Fox, "Curb Your Enthusiasm") to travel to a Christmas-themed town to meet a man whose passion for Christmas traditions has transformed a town in "Farewell Mr. Kringle," a Hallmark Channel Original Movie, premiering Saturday, December 4 (8p.m. ET/PT, 7C). Christopher Wiehl ("Jericho") and W. Morgan Sheppard ("Love's Abiding Joy") co-star in the film which shows you're never too old to believe in Kris Kringle. Hallmark Channel is the biggest holiday destination in television.

Anna Wahl (Taylor) hates Christmas, which is exactly why her editor, Zoe (Fox) at Family Now Magazine sends her on assignment to the small, charming town of Mistletoe. There, Kris Kringle (Sheppard), a self-proclaimed real Santa Clause, has been assuming the persona of St. Nick for 50 years, in connection with the town's Christmas-themed street names and shops. When she arrives in town, Anna is ready to expose Kris as a fraudulent mall-Santa, and her skeptical attitude is immediately apparent to everyone. But Kris, whose house is a Christmas wonderland on Santa Clause Lane, and whose sleigh is a bright red 1960s Bonneville convertible, slowly convinces her to open up - especially when he reveals they have something in common: both tragically lost their spouse at Christmastime.

As Anna interviews the townspeople, she discovers Kris has touched the lives of everyone in Mistletoe, and Kris begins to prove to her Christmas isn't just a day on the calendar; it's a feeling of kindness that lasts all year-round. Then, Anna meets Mark (Wiehl), an ex-divorce lawyer who is instantly attracted to her, despite his reservations about love and marriage. They start to date, but when both admit they are too afraid to commit, Anna breaks it off, and decides to leave town. Just as Anna is about to say goodbye to Mistletoe and Mark forever, she finds out Kris is planning to say a farewell himself, and it is up to her to convince him, and herself, to believe in the power of love on Christmas.

"Farewell Mr. Kringle" is an MNG Films Ireland Production in association with Larry Levinson Productions. Larry Levinson is the executive producer. Randy Pope, Amanda Phillips and Mary Callery are co-executive producers. James Wilberger and Brian J. Gordon are the producers. Kevin Connor directed from a script by Robert Tate Miller.
