"NATIONAL WEEDS AWARENESS WEEK" TO PROVIDE MILLIONS OF AMERICANS WITH UNPRECEDENTED ACCESS TO "WEEDS"

Awareness Campaign Kicks-off on Sunday October 17 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT Followed by Week-Long Celebration

LOS ANGELES (October 11, 2010) - Amazingly, approximately 80 million American adults have never experienced "Weeds" and untold millions lack even the most basic awareness of it. But among the many challenges facing our citizens today, the difficulty in getting "Weeds" will soon be but a distant memory. Addressing the deficiency head-on, TV Guide Network has proudly stepped-in as the television home for "National Weeds Awareness Week," by running a six-day marathon of the Golden Globe(R) award-winning TV series "Weeds" each night from 9:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. ET/PT, from Sunday, October 17 through Friday, October 22. And to keep "Weeds" awareness strong following the television marathon, TV Guide Network will air four back-to-back episodes of "Weeds" every Sunday at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT starting October 24.

Sunday, October 17 marks the start of the first ever "National Weeds Awareness Week," created to educate the public about this silent deprivation. "National Weeds Awareness Week" gives ordinary adults, health care providers, public policy makers and the media an opportunity to encourage their loved ones to experience "Weeds" on a regular basis. Americans are encouraged to participate in local activities such as hosting "Weeds Week" parties, wearing green to work and attending events at neighborhood taverns to share their knowledge of "Weeds" with strangers. These fun, community-oriented activities help people take the "Weeds" awareness issue into their own hands, empowering them to create the enlightenment necessary for true happiness.

"National Weeds Awareness Week" resources and ideas can be found on its official website, www.WeedsAwareness.com, which will include: a "Grow Weeds Awareness" starter kit with printable signs and bumper stickers to show support for the cause; a "How to Throw Your Own 'Weeds' Party" guide with party recipes and fun "Weeds" trivia; a pledge drive to encourage citizens everywhere to change the world through watching "Weeds," plus other activities.

TV Guide Network's "National Weeds Awareness Week" marathon will raise "Weeds" consciousness across the country. It will give concerned citizens a comprehensive opportunity to make-up for their lack of "Weeds" and to recognize the benefits of regular "Weeds" consumption.
