SYFY SETS WINTER PREMIERE DATES FOR ORIGINAL SERIES BEING HUMAN, HOLLYWOOD TREASURE, FACT OR FAKED: PARANORMAL FILES, AND MARCEL'S QUANTUM KITCHEN PLUS HOLIDAY EPISODES OF EUREKA AND WAREHOUSE 13

Orlando, Florida - October 12, 2010 - Syfy is giving the gift of new original programming this winter season and has just announced some highly anticipated premiere dates. The primetime schedule will include the new Syfy originals series Being Human, Marcel's Quantum Kitchen and Hollywood Treasure, the return of hit series Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files, and special holiday-themed episodes of Eureka and Warehouse 13.

Following are highlights from Syfy's Winter Programming schedule (all times ET/PT):

OCTOBER

HOLLYWOOD TREASURE - Series Premiere Wednesday, October 27th at 10 PM and 10:30 PM - Hollywood Treasure is a weekly half-hour reality series that delves into the fast-paced world of showbiz and pop culture memorabilia collecting, including science fiction and fantasy props and costumes. The series follows Joe Maddalena, owner of Profiles in History and the world's largest auctioneer of original movie, television and pop culture collectibles.

Each episode follows Joe and his crew as they travel the globe searching for the most compelling, rare, and sought-after Hollywood memorabilia. Sometimes combing through basements and attics to uncover lost Hollywood treasure, and other times meeting with celebrities to view their personal keepsakes, Joe tracks leads and does whatever it takes to seal the deal for a piece of Hollywood history. From the Wicked Witch of the West hat to the vintage Chitty Chitty Bang Bang car to the original Mary Poppins carpet bag, Maddalena will stop at nothing to hunt down some of Hollywood's most legendary and mythical items. Episodes culminate with Joe presiding over a world-class auction, where all of the collectibles are sold to fans and collectors from around the world.

Hollywood Treasure is produced by Shevick*Zupon Entertainment. Jerry Shevick, Mark Zupon and Bruce Toms are Executive Producers, and Co-Executive Producer is Steve Longo.

FACT OR FAKED: PARANORMAL FILES - Series Return Thursday, October 28th at 10PM - Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files, Syfy's break-out hit summer series, continues with its mission to uncover the truth behind some of the most compelling, mystifying and incomprehensible images caught on camera and posted on the Internet. The series features former FBI Special Agent Ben Hansen, lead scientist Bill Murphy, effects specialist Larry Caughlin, journalist Jael De Pardo, photography expert Chi-Lan Lieu and stunt expert Austin Porter. Their quarry is comprised of all unnatural phenomena including ghosts, poltergeist activity, UFOs, strange creature sightings, and unknown energy anomalies.

Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files is executive produced by John Brenkus and Mickey Stern for BASE Productions, and is a co-production with Universal Networks International.

DECEMBER

EUREKA/WAREHOUSE 13 HOLIDAY EPISODES

Premiere Tuesday, December 7th at 9PM (Eureka) and 10PM (Warehouse 13)

For the first time, Syfy's two most popular original scripted series will debut stand-alone holiday episodes.

On Eureka, as the Global Dynamics employees celebrate the season at the company holiday party, staff member Dr. Noah Drummer (guest star Chris Parnell) nearly absconds with a volatile experiment. The halls get seriously decked when Dr. Drummer's unstable hydrogen crystal starts to grow at a frightening rate. Carter (Colin Ferguson) and Henry (Joe Morton) attempt to deal with the potentially explosive crystal, but before long the true scope of the problem is revealed, and it will take more than tinsel and carolers to save Christmas and Eureka. Former series regular Matt Frewer also returns as Taggert.

In this 'long lost' holiday episode of Warehouse 13, as the Warehouse team prepares to celebrate the holidays in snowy South Dakota, Pete (Eddie McClintock) and Myka (Joanne Kelly) are called upon to hunt down a malevolent Santa Claus. Meanwhile, in time for Hanukkah, Artie and his estranged father, Isadore Weisfelt reunite after 30 years. Award-winning actor Judd Hirsch guest stars as Artie's father. Paul Blackthorne also guest stars as a harried workaholic who becomes terrorized by a strange series of robberies committed by a thief dressed as "jolly old Saint Nick!"

Both series are produced and distributed by Universal Cable Productions. Co-creator Jaime Paglia and Bruce Miller are executive producers of Eureka. Jack Kenny (The Book of Daniel) is executive producer and showrunner of Warehouse 13.

JANUARY 2011

BEING HUMAN - Series Premiere January 2011 (Date TBA)

Being Human, a re-imagining of the acclaimed UK series created by Toby Whithouse, follows three paranormal, 20-something roommates living in Boston - vampire "Aidan" (Sam Witwer), werewolf "Josh" (Sam Huntington) and ghost "Sally" (Meaghan Rath) - as they struggle to hide their dark secrets from the world, while helping each other navigate the complexities of living double lives and trying to be human. Mark Pellegrino (Lost) plays Aidan's charismatic but menacing vampire mentor "Bishop."

Executive Producers/Writers are Jeremy Carver (Supernatural) and Anna Fricke (Men in Trees, Everwood) with Executive Producer Michael Prupas (The Kennedys, Pillars of the Earth). Adam Kane (The Mentalist, Heroes) is Director and Co-Executive Producer. Muse Entertainment is producing 13 1-hour episodes for Syfy.

FEBRUARY 2011

MARCEL'S QUANTUM KITCHEN - Series Premiere February 2011 (Date TBA)

Syfy unveils a new half-hour reality series, Marcel's Quantum Kitchen, featuring molecular gastronomist Marcel Vigneron, one of America's most notorious chefs on the cutting edge of the culinary field.

Marcel's Quantum Kitchen follows Marcel as he begins to explore the potential next phase of his career. In each episode, Marcel will be hired by a demanding client to produce and pull off extraordinary events and celebrations. Based on the clients' requests, Marcel will have to dream up a menu for the event. He and his team of party planners and sous chefs will oversee the entire production, tapping the depths of their imagination and culinary talents to brainstorm everything from the decor to a delicious menu that emphasizes Marcel's unparalleled brand of molecular gastronomy. Will Marcel continue to out do himself?

Marcel's Quantum Kitchen is produced by Mission Control Media. Dwight Smith and Michael Agbabian are Executive Producers.
