Christina Aguilera to Perform at The 38th Annual 'American Music Awards(R)' November 21 on ABC

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 21 -- dick clark productions (dcp) president, Orly Adelson, announced that Christina Aguilera will perform at the 2010 "American Music Awards(R)." Christina's performance will feature a live number from her upcoming film Burlesque, which will be released by Screen Gems, a division of Sony Pictures, on November 25th. She will join other previously announced acts including Bon Jovi, P!nk and Usher. Additional performers and presenters will be announced in the coming weeks. The show will broadcast live from the NOKIA Theatre L.A. LIVE on SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 21st (8:00-11:00 p.m. ET/PT) on ABC. AMA producer Larry Klein stated, "Christina is known for her powerful and engaging performances. We are looking forward to her Burlesque number which will showcase moments from one of the most anticipated films of the season."

Artists will be honored in the categories of Pop/Rock, Country, Rap/Hip-Hop, Soul/R&B, Alternative, Adult Contemporary, Latin, Soundtracks and Contemporary Inspirational. dick clark productions will also air a live red carpet digital pre-show, "Coca-Cola Red Carpet Live!" @ The 2010 AMAs, on November 21st at 2:00 PM (PT) / 5:00 PM (ET). The pre-show, featuring hosts Danny Gokey, Jennette McCurdy, Lance Bass, Whitney Port and the returning Coca-Cola Correspondent David Lehre, will be available on ABC.com and USTREAM.TV.

Burlesque also includes remakes / covers of classic songs such as Etta James' "Something's Got A Hold On Me" and "Tough Lover" and Mae West's "A Guy What Takes His Time".
