QUICK TAKE

SOME DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES, SOME OF AMERICA'S FUNNIEST FAMILIES AND CHARLIE BROWN ALL CELEBRATE THANKSGIVING ON ABC

Some Desperate Housewives, some of America's funniest families and everyone's favorite PEANUTS hero, Charlie Brown, celebrate Thanksgiving on the ABC Television Network. Following are ABC series and specials with turkey day themes:

Sunday, Nov. 14

"Desperate Housewives" --"Sorry Grateful" (9:00-10:01 p.m., ET) - Thanksgiving on Wisteria Lane finds Gabrielle and Carlos hosting Carmen, Hector and Grace to a bountiful feast. But the Solis's discover some surprising news about the Sanchez's that could threaten their time with Grace. Meanwhile, Bree invites Keith's parents (John Schneider and Nancy Travis) to partake in Thanksgiving at her house and learns some family secrets; Susan butts heads with Lynette over her sleep training techniques for baby Paige; Renee continues to remind Tom about their past; and Beth tries to uncover more about Paul's past misdeeds.

Thursday, Nov. 18 & 25

"A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving" (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET) -- Created by late cartoonist Charles M. Schulz , in the 1973 special, "A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving," Charlie Brown wants to do something special for the gang. However the dinner he arranges is a disaster when the caterers, Snoopy and Woodstock, prepare toast and popcorn as the main dish. Humiliated, it will take all of Marcie's persuasive powers to salvage the holiday for Charlie Brown. A special bonus cartoon from Charles M. Schulz, "This Is America, Charlie Brown: The Mayflower Voyagers," will air with the PEANUTS classic. In the special, history comes to animated screen life in a captivating and informative program about the Mayflower voyagers. After 65 grueling, sea-tossed days, the Pilgrims are in view of America's shores - and Charlie Brown and the Peanuts crew are with them as they experience firsthand the lifestyle of the early settlers and celebrate the first Thanksgiving.

Wednesday, Nov. 24

"The Middle" -- "Thanksgiving II" (8:00-8:30 p.m., ET) - Mike begrudgingly invites his brother, Rusty (Norm Macdonald), who is temporarily living in a tent, and his father, Big Mike (John Cullum), who has recently broken his hip, to join him for the annual Heck family Thanksgiving. But when Frankie observes the macho Heck men's non-communicative nature, she encourages a not-so-receptive Mike to engage them in a real conversation and express their feelings. Meanwhile, Brick is ecstatic when he discovers that Bob is bringing his girlfriend, Linda - the local librarian who loves books as much as Brick does - to Thanksgiving; and Sue wants to start a mother-daughter tradition of baking a pie for the holiday, but ends up getting more sliced up than the crust.

"Better with You" -- "Better with Thanksgiving" (8:30-9:00 p.m., ET) - This Thanksgiving, everyone but Vicky is relieved when her oven breaks down. For once, the rest of the family can enjoy a normal Thanksgiving dinner and won't have to endure one of her unsavory concoctions -- such as maple syrup turkey stuffed with shrimp and raisins. And while spending the holiday at Maddie's and Ben's apartment, Mia accidentally finds her late grandmother's presumably stolen ring hidden in their linen closet Now the unmarried couple has some explaining to do.

"Cougar Town" - "When the Time Comes" (9:30-10:00 p.m., ET) - Jules says "I love you" to Grayson for the first time. But when Grayson doesn't reciprocate with the words she wants to hear, she's determined to host a "romantic" Thanksgiving in order force the moment on of him. Meanwhile, Ellie and Laurie team up to knock the optimism out of Andy, and Bobby is upset when the gang confesses that sometimes they can't understand what he's saying.
