WWE SUPERSTAR EDGE(R) GUEST STARS AS AN "ABNORMAL" IN SEASON FINALE OF SYFY'S POPULAR SERIES SANCTUARY

NEW YORK - November 2, 2010 - WWE Superstar Edge(R) from WWE Friday Night SmackDown(R) will guest star in Syfy's popular series Sanctuary. He will portray an abnormal named Thelo, an integral character in the season finale (scheduled to air in spring 2011).

Sanctuary airs Friday night at 10PM (ET/PT), immediately following its tag team partner Friday Night SmackDown at 8PM (ET/PT).

Edge has proven himself to be a Renaissance man, having written a successful autobiography Adam Copeland on Edge in addition to becoming a 9-time World Champion in WWE. Edge recently finished filming the feature film Bending the Rules in New Orleans alongside Jamie Kennedy, Jennifer Esposito, Alicia Witt and Jessica Walter.

In addition to Amanda Tapping as Dr. Helen Magnus, Sanctuary also stars Robin Dunne as forensic psychiatrist Dr. Will Zimmerman, Agam Darshi as the quick-witted Kate Freelander, Ryan Robbins as tech wiz Henry Foss and Christopher Heyerdahl as the sinister John Druitt.

One of television's most groundbreaking series, shooting almost entirely on green screen, Sanctuary was the first television series in North America to use the RED camera exclusively. Its stunning visual effects were nominated for a 2008 Emmy Award. Created by Damian Kindler (Stargate SG-1, Stargate Atlantis), Sanctuary is produced in association with Syfy and is distributed by Tricon Films and Television.
