TV GUIDE NETWORK ANNOUNCES ITS FIRST ORIGINAL DOCU-SOAP SERIES IN CONJUNCTION WITH 495 PRODUCTIONS AND SALLY ANN SALSANO, CREATOR OF "JERSEY SHORE"

"The Nail Files" Follows the Glamorous Hollywood Life of Budding Business Mogul Katie Cazorla, From Her Relationship with a Grammy(R) Award-Winning Music Producer to Her Celebrity-Filled Nail Salon

LOS ANGELES (November 10, 2010) - TV Guide Network announced today that it has greenlit its first original reality docu-soap, "The Nail Files," created and produced by Sally Ann Salsano and 495 Productions, the team behind the mega-hit series "Jersey Shore." "The Nail Files" stars Katie Cazorla, a 32-year-old entrepreneur who owns and operates Hollywood's fastest growing celebrity-filled nail salon, "The Painted Nail," all while juggling a relationship with 52-year-old Walter Afanasieff, a Grammy(R) award-winning music legend who's written and produced hits for Mariah Carey, Barbra Streisand, Celine Dion and Whitney Houston. The six-episode series will premiere on TV Guide Network in mid-2011.

"The producers of 'Jersey Shore' have once again come up with a highly entertaining, non-scripted series capturing the fascinating lives of colorful individuals, this time against the backdrop of Hollywood," said Diane Robina, Executive Vice President, Programming and Marketing, TV Guide Network. "'The Nail Files' is a perfect fit for our audience, as it takes viewers on the star-powered fast track of Katie's life of luxury, love and entrepreneurial adventures."

"I love working with entertaining, raw, everyday people with some sass and a point of view," said Sally Ann Salsano, President and Founder of 495 Productions. "Watching Katie in her element both in and out of the salon wowed me. She grabbed my attention the first time I met her. It's Katie's will to succeed and confidence, do whatever it takes attitude, and lack of filter that will keep audiences wondering what she will do or say next. I love her."

"The Nail Files" takes viewers inside the upscale, unpredictable life of blonde bombshell business owner Katie Cazorla. Born and raised in a small prison town in upstate New York, Katie is now living the glamorous life in Hollywood, where she's reinvented the nail salon experience with the launch of "The Painted Nail." Her salon has become an overnight success and she's franchising "The Painted Nail" all over the world. The series follows Katie's fun, quirky relationship with Walter, a multiple award-winning music writer and producer who won the "Record of the Year" Grammy Award for producing "My Heart Will Go On" by Celine Dion. Deeply in love, yet total opposites, this odd couple manages to make it work. He never drinksshe loves to party. He's the calmshe's the storm. The other characters in Katie's life are as colorful as she is: her eccentric store manager and best friend who keeps Katie's shop and life in order; her 19-year-old nail tech assistant who reminds Katie that looks can fade, including her own; her gold-digging, drama queen friends; and an unpredictable line-up of celebrities, who stop by the salon everyday to get a fresh coat and pass along insider Hollywood gossip.
