New York, NY, November 16, 2010 - This January, TV Land is delivering a star-powered full hour of original comedy with the premiere of "Retired at 35" on January 19th, 2011 at 10:30 PM ET/PT following the return of cable's #1 sitcom "Hot in Cleveland." "Retired at 35" is TV Land's second original sitcom and stars veteran actors George Segal and Jessica Walter and newcomers Johnathan McClain, Josh McDermitt and Ryan Michelle Bathe. TV Land's first original sitcom, "Hot in Cleveland," premiered last year and became basic cable's #1 sitcom of all time among the network's target audience of A24-54 and total viewers. In its 10-episode run it even out-delivered shows like "Mad Men," "Real Housewives of New Jersey," "Top Chef" and "Nip/Tuck."

Peter Bonerz ("Just Shoot Me"), Kym Douglas ("Good Day LA"), Tony(R)-winning actress Christine Ebersole ("Grey Gardens"), Estelle Harris ("Seinfeld") Mimi Kennedy ("Dharma and Greg), Mark Christopher Lawrence ("Chuck"), Shelley Long ("Cheers"), Chris McDonald ("House Bunny"), John O'Hurley ("Seinfeld"), Christina Pickles ("Friends") Ashley Williams ("Saving Grace"), Jay Thomas ("Mr. Holland's Opus," "Cheers"), Fred Willard ("A Mighty Wind," "Best in Show") and George Wyner ("The Mentalist," "House") will guest star in the first season of "Retired at 35."

"Retired at 35" follows a disillusioned Manhattan businessman (McClain) who decides to leave the New York City rat race and retire to Florida... 30 years early!

He ends up moving into his parents' (Segal and Walter) condo to reconnect with them, reevaluate his life and live the sometime elusive dream of early retirement that so many are working toward. Once there, he settles into the carefree retired lifestyle or, as his hedonistic Dad describes it, "like college in slow-motion."

Chris Case ("Reba," "Spin City") is the writer for "Retired at 35" and Michael Hanel and Mindy Schultheis ("Rita Rocks," "Reba," "Titus") are the executive producers. Keith Cox serves as executive producer for TV Land.

Recently seen on the popular HBO series "Entourage" and in ABC's "Pushing Daisies," Segal starred for seven seasons as Jack Gallo in the NBC ensemble comedy "Just Shoot Me." On the big screen, he is playing opposite Jake Gyllenhaal in the upcoming 20th Century Fox film, "Love and Other Drugs." Segal was an Oscar nominee for "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?" and also starred in "A Touch of Class," "The Owl and The Pussycat" with Barbra Streisand and "Fun with Dick and Jane" with Jane Fonda. He also starred on Broadway in "Art," "Rattle of a Simple Man" and "Gideon."

About Jessica Walter

A veteran stage, film and television actress, Jessica Walter just completed shooting the WWE film "Bending the Rules" with Philip Baker Hall and Jamie Kennedy. Her two previous Emmy(R) nominations were for "Trapper John M.D." and "The Streets of San Francisco." She won the Emmy(R) for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited Series for "Amy Prentiss." Her feature film credits include "The Slums of Beverly Hills," "Unaccompanied Minors," The Flamingo Kid," "P.C.U." and Clint Eastwood's "Play Misty For Me" for which she earned the second of her two Golden Globe(R) nominations.
