By The Futon Critic Staff (TFC)

LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- Animal Planet is set to kick off 2011 with three new series: "I, Predator," "Infested!" and "Swarm Chasers."

Said trio will join a returning class that includes "I Shouldn't Be Alive" (Wednesdays at 9:00/8:00c starting January 5), "Confessions: Animal Hoarding" (Fridays at 10:00/9:00c starting January 14; plus back-to-back "Revisited" specials on January 7), "It's Me or the Dog" (Saturdays at 8:00/7:00c starting January 8) and "Pit Boss" (Saturdays at 10:00/9:00c starting January 29).

As for specifics, "Infested!" (premiering Sunday, January 9 at 8:00/7:00c) features "the real-life horror stories of ordinary people plagued by frighteningly extraordinary infestations."

Next up is "I, Predator" (due on Tuesday, January 11 at 8:00/7:00c), which uses state-of-the-art technology to transform archival footage into intricate models, allowing "viewers to see animal action like never before."

And last but not least is "Swarm Chasers" (launching Thursday, January 13 at 7:00/6:00c), which tracks scientists as they "head into the eye of the greatest animal plagues on the planet to experience their devastating powers and discover what it takes to transform organisms into ferocious and deadly mobs."
