[12/20/10 - 11:52 AM] CBS to Give "CSI: Miami" Earlier Slot By The Futon Critic Staff (TFC) |

LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- CBS is giving its veteran drama "CSI: Miami" a new home: Sundays at 8:00/7:00c.
Scheduling updates released this morning confirm new episodes of the series will shift to the earlier hour effective January 2 while repeats will continue in its former 10:00/9:00c slot.
The change is for at least three weeks: "Match Made in Hell" on January 2, "F-T-F" on January 9 and "Wheels Up" on January 16.
[UPDATED! A repeat of "Criminal Minds" is now slated for Sunday, January 9 at 10:00/9:00c with a repeat of "Undercover Boss" likewise booked for Sunday, January 16 at 10:00/9:00c. The Eye's coverage of the AFC Championship Game on January 23 will disrupt its usual lineup on said date, as will the original movie "The Lost Valentine" on January 30 and the Grammys on February 13. Repeats will presumably fill the night on February 6 against FOX's broadcast of the Super Bowl.]
"The Amazing Race," as previously reported, returns for its 18th season on February 20 at 8:00/7:00c and presumably will bump "Miami" back to the 10:00/9:00c hour.
Meanwhile, a promo during last night's "Survivor" finale revealed the next installment in the franchise, "Survivor: Redemption Island," is due on Wednesday, February 16.
